Vivo X90 Pro vs Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra vs Xiaomi 13 Pro: Most advanced phone out of the 3?


Vivo X90 Pro has launched in India on April 26 and here we compare it against other Android flagships like Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra and Xiaomi 13 Pro. All of these phones are brimming with top-tier specs. This demands a closer look at their spec-by-spec differences, so you know where to spend your money.

Vivo X90 Pro vs Xiaomi 13 Pro vs Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra: Spec comparison

1. Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra has the brightest display of the lot at 1750 nits of peak luminance. It also boasts the use of Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. Xiaomi 13 Pro gets only Gorilla Glass Victus. For biometrics, all three phones come with an under-screen fingerprint scanner but only Samsung has an ultrasonic solution which is considered more secure than the optical fingerprint reader on the Vivo and Xiaomi phones.

 The Samsung phone also features stylus input which could be called its USP.

2. Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra and Xiaomi 13 Pro ship with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC while the Vivo X90 Pro comes with MediaTek 9200 SoC. The 256GB or above storage variant of all these phones are UFS 4.0 based.

Although the software on all three at launch is Android 13 only, the experience could differ based on the skin on top. For example, Samsung offers One UI 5.1, Vivo offers Funtouch 13 and Xiaomi offers MIUI 14 skin.


3. Samsung stands apart because of the 200MP main camera. This is accompanied by a 10MP (10x periscope zoom), 10MP (3x) zoom lens, and 12MP (120-degree) ultrawide snapper.   

The Vivo X90 Pro and Xiaomi 13 Pro sport a 50.3MP main camera. 

Vivo X90 Pro packs a 50.3 (with CIPA-certified Level 4 standard OIS) +50+12MP triplet and Xiaomi 13 Pro comes with a 50.3+50+50MP triple rear camera setup.

The front camera on the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is a 12MP sensor. The Vivo X90 Pro present a 32MP selfie snapper and Xiaomi 13 Pro has got a 32MP camera.

You get to shoot at 8K 24/30 fps from the rear camera of the S23 Ultra while from the front camera, you get to shoot 4K 60 fps. Vivo and Xiaomi let you record at 8K 24 fps from the rear camera. As for the front, the output from Vivo X90 Pro can max at 1080p 60 fps while the Xiaomi 13 Pro can record up to 1080p 30 fps.

4. Both Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra and Xiaomi 13 Pro are equipped with WiFi 6E while the Vivo X90 Pro only has WiFi 6 support. Both the Samsung and Vivo phones have USB-C 3.2 whereas the Xiaomi phone has USB-C v2.0. 

5. Samsung leads the pack with a 5000mAh battery, closely followed by a 4870mAh battery on the Vivo X90 Pro and a 4820mAh battery on the Xiaomi 13 Pro. When it comes to charging though, both Xiaomi and Vivo arm their phones with 120W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. Samsung offers only 25W wired and 15W wireless charging.
