Sony Bravia X80L TV launched in India with these 5 standout features


Sony has launched the Bravia X80L in India in 3 sizes viz. 43-inch, 50-inch and 80-inch. This is a 4K Dolby Vision TV with spatial sound, Bravia Cam, Google TV, and a host of connectivity options and smart features.

Sony Bravia X80L features

1. As already mentioned, Sony has released the Bravia X80L TV in 43-inch, 50-inch and 80-inch. All three sizes offer 3840×2160-pixels, otherwise called 4K resolution. Sony has stowed in proprietary technologies like TRILUMINOS Pro display (for colour reproduction), 4K X-Reality PRO (HD upscaling), and Motionflow XR (motion smoothening). There is support for HDR10, Dolby Vision and other HDR formats. There is Auto HDR tone-mapping facility too.

You also get Game Mode for PS5. This endows faster response times when you run games.

2. The visuals are backed by Dolby Atmos speakers. You get spatial sound and Acoustic Auto Calibration (for better vocals). 

3. Bravia Cam detects your proximity to the TV and accordingly calibrates the audio-visuals. It also aids in Gesture Control and video calls.

4. The software on board is Google TV, which is a fork of Android TV with a modern UI and smart UX. You also get a smart remote that not only controls the TV but many other Sony ecosystem products. 

5. For connectivity, the Sony Bravia X80L comes with four HDMI 2.1 (with eARC/ARC, VRR, ALLM), two USB ports, a 3.5mm audio jack, dual-band WiFi ac, an Ethernet port, Chromecast, AirPlay 2, HomeKit, and support for smart assistants like Google and Alexa.

You can purchase the Sony Bravia X80L TV in India at Sony Centers, as well as online and offline stores. The asking price is as follows:

– The Sony Bravia X80L (KD-43X80L) begins at ₹99,900 and will be available from April 19.

– The 50-inch model (KD-50X80L) kicks off at ₹114,900 and goes on sale from April 19.

– The details about the 60-inch model are yet to be revealed by the brand. As soon as we have it, we shall let you know.
