iQOO Z7 is a new smartphone under ₹20,000 in India. It launches on March 21 with a 120Hz AMOLED screen, 64MP main camera, Android 13 software, Mediatek Dimensity 920 5G SoC, and 44W charging support. Let’s see how it compares to Redmi Note 12 and Moto G73.
iQOO Z7 vs Redmi Note 12 vs Moto G73 comparison
This is just a spec-by-spec comparison based on the details we have of iQOO Z7, Redmi Note 12 and Moto G73.
iQOO Z7 is the slimmest phone of the lot at 7.8mm and is lightest also at 173 grams. All three phones have plastic backs and side frames. iQOO Z7 looks dated compared to the rest due to its U-shaped dewdrop notch.
Both iQOO Z7 and Redmi Note 12 have AMOLED screens while Moto G73 has got an LCD panel.
Redmi Note 12 (Left) and Moto G73 (Right)
While both iQOO Z7 and Moto G73 run on Android 13 out of the box, Redmi Note 12 sticks to Android 12. Motorola offers a more vanilla-like Android experience whereas Redmi offers MIUI 13 and iQOO gives Funtouch OS 13, both of which are heavily customized skins.
All 3 phones bear a 6nm processor. Redmi Note 12 is the only one with a Qualcomm chip. It is the Snapdragon 4 Gen 1. In terms of the core structure, it is nearly similar to the MediaTek chips inside both iQOO Z7 and Moto G73. But, SD 4 Gen 1’s primary core is clocked at a lower frequency of 2.0GHz whilst Dimensity 930 clocks at 2.2GHz and Dimensity 920 is running at the fastest speed of 2.5GHz. Yes, you need to keep this difference between the two Dimensity chipsets.
iQOO Z7 ships with a 64MP main camera with OIS support. It is accompanied by a 2MP macro shooter. For selfies, you are getting a 16MP camera.
Moto G73 features a 50MP main camera and an 8MP ultrawide snapper. The front camera sensor is 16 megapixels only.
Redmi Note 12 relies on a 48MP sensor, an 8MP ultrawide shooter, and a 2MP macro module. On the front, there is a 13MP selfie snapper.
iQOO has an edge as it equips the Z7 with 44W fast charging capability. Meanwhile, Redmi Note 12 sports 33W fast charging and Moto G73 comes with 30W rapid charging.
